Our Mission
Common Roots is dedicated to making math education more accessible, engaging, and empowering. We create hands-on learning experiences based on real world applications of math, which transforms it from confusing and repetitive into something students can explore, question, create, and enjoy. Through interactive workshops, game nights, competitions, scholarships, and a community of supportive peers, we remove barriers to learning and give students meaningful opportunities to discover what they’re capable of.
We believe math education is important because it helps students become confident in their abilities and develop a love for learning. Math is especially powerful because it invites students to experiment, think creatively, solve problems, and learn from mistakes. By encouraging curiosity and celebrating creativity, we hope students develop qualities that extend far beyond math itself and into everyday life.
